What the webinar will be about

Explore the making of Ngā hau a Tāwhirirangi – Forces of Flight, a whānau-focused exhibition at MOTAT.

Weaving together mātauranga Māori and Western science, the project reimagines how stories of flight are shared through content, design and visitor experience.

This webinar includes a brief history of MOTAT's Aviation Hall and the network of projects and practitioners that have shaped its evolution. Drawing on partnerships with architects, cultural practitioners and community collaborators, Rachel and Jessica will discuss how the exhibition balances both worldviews with equal mana and creates meaningful visitor connection.
